Things to do in Ibiza in spring

Spring in Ibiza may be the perfect time to visit for those who want to avoid the summer crowds, but still enjoy comfortable temperatures and the opening of the nightclubs. This is the time to enjoy Ibiza to its fullest as you can enjoy less crowded beaches and have the azure seas to dip into all to yourself. There are plenty of things to do in Ibiza in spring!

Discover pristine coves and nature retreats, or indulge in self-rejuvenation in a myriad of exquisite spas. Despite the island’s small size, there are activities and events for everyone to enjoy. If you rent a car and a villa, you can have the freedom to explore the whole island with new adventures every day while retreating to your own home away from home in the evenings.

Be the First Ones on the Ibizan Dance Floors!

Be an early bird at the famous Ibizan clubs and avoid the lines and packed dance floors. The clubs start opening in late May, early June and the vibrant beats that attract thousands of visitors in the summer begin. It’s a good idea to check the websites of the clubs before booking your trip as the night clubs usually have different opening dates.

Here is a selection of the most famous clubs on Ibiza:

1. Pacha

Pacha is one of the island’s most iconic clubs which opened its doors in 1973. Its well recognizable cherry logo is sprinkled around the venue, as logos on the clothes in their shop, and as a custom-made dessert in their restaurant.

You can find Pacha in the heart of Ibiza Town with a main room and a roof terrace for a calmer ambiance. The club will host the most spectacular theme parties and have famous DJ’s playing all through the spring and summer months. The musical genres are varied, but they usually lean towards techno and electronic music.

2. Amnesia

Amnesia is the place to be for the opening parties in spring when its huge dance floor starts filling up. Top-notch DJs from all over the world come to play here and you can rock the dance floor to electronic and techno beats.

The terrace brings a more relaxed ambiance with different genres of music and it’s a place to take a breath between energetic dance sessions.

3. Ushuaïa

Ushuaïa is not only home to a vibrant club, but also a hotel and restaurant. The club’s open-air venue attracts DJs like David Guetta, Tiesto, and Calvin Harris amongst many others.

The main stage usually hosts spectacular shows with lights and pyrotechnics animating the pulsating dance floor. This is the place to be if you want to dance outdoors under the Ibizan sun in the daytime.

4. DC-10

DC-10 is a club not to be missed as its extraordinary venue and location will surely create memorable experiences. It was built with the bare hands of two brothers and in 1999 the famous Circo Loco parties started.

The venue was originally a farmhouse at the end of the airport runway and today the airplanes fly right over the clubbers dancing away to techno beats. The terrace provides a calmer ambiance, and the club’s choice of artists create a more underground vibe.

They also have a restaurant serving dishes made from fresh, local, and seasonal produce, often cooked on a charcoal grill. Imagine watching a beautiful sunset while savoring a delectable meal after a lovely walk along the beach.

Ignite Your Inner Power with Kundalini Activation

If you are seeking a truly unique, powerful, and spiritual experience, there are many practitioners on Ibiza that offer the Kundalini Awakening Process (KAP). ‘Now what is this?’ you may ask. It’s an ancient practice that stretches back centuries and has been used in several spiritual and religious traditions including Indian yogic and spiritual traditions.

The name “Kundalini” means coiled serpent and the belief is that this is the dormant energy that lies inside. The awakening process consists of releasing this energy, mostly gradually throughout the chakras up the spine to awakening. Metaphorically the serpent is climbing up the spine.

The practitioner usually guides the participants with meditation, breathwork and gentle physical movements which are designed to release blockages and make the energy flow. These exercises are known to release emotions, cause tingling sensations, a feeling of energy flowing, visions, and a broader awareness. Some people have even reported that it happened instantaneously causing them to feel a sensation of having lost their mind. This is why it’s important to have an experienced practitioner present to help guide people through difficult emotions or sensations that can often be surprising.

The goal of Kundalini activation is to release negative patterns in life, reach a heightened state of awareness, and connect with the higher self. To find the right practitioner on Ibiza, it’s advised to start early to see if anyone is hosting a KAP retreat as they pop up throughout the year. And by starting early, you will also be able to find the practitioner that you vibe with who is in a location that you find peaceful.

Other Activities in Ibiza During Spring:

Visit Ses Salines Natural Park where you can see a wide range of flora and fauna with beauty all around. The Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the area is named after the salt dunes. The pools of salt are colored in a broad palette of beautiful colors, and you can find the southernmost beaches on Ibiza nearby.

Rent a bike to discover the natural and diverse beauty of the island. From hidden coves and beaches to lush forests, you may find yourself stopping for photos every minute. You can find trails and paths for all levels, from rugged terrain to straight coastal paths. Bike tours are also widely available on Ibiza.

Enjoy a delectable dinner on the beach while gazing at a beautiful sunset. The cuisine in Ibiza is unforgettable as a majority of the restaurants take pride in using local, fresh produce. For an unforgettable evening, find a lovely beach restaurant and enjoy the lovely seafood that Ibiza has to offer cooked on a grill while you enjoy a sunset cocktail. The beach clubs are places where you can take it slow and just enjoy the atmosphere, the lovely food, refreshing drinks and some of the most magical sunsets in the world.

We wish you pleasant travels in Ibiza and remember to book your activities in advance to make the most out of your trip. Whether you stay in a hotel, a villa, or camp, it’s always good to have your options open. And remember the sunscreen!
