From April 24 to 26, 2024, the International Music Summit (IMS) Ibiza festival will bring together professionals and music enthusiasts with various events and performances.
The highlight of the festival is the IMS Dalt Vila, a spectacular musical event held at the Santa Lucia Rampart in Dalt Vila – a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The unique setting of Dalt Vila, a historic citadel dating back to the 15th century, combined with world-class electronic music performances, makes IMS Dalt Vila an unforgettable experience for festival attendees.
Ibiza Medieval Fair: 2nd Week of May
This is one of the most historic festivals of Ibiza in 2024, taking place over three days during the second week of May. The Ibiza Medieval Fair transforms the old town into a bustling marketplace filled with street performers, concerts, craft markets and parades featuring participants in period costumes.
Visitors can experience what life was like in medieval Ibiza as they walk around the walled area of the historic centre. Craftspeople, artists, and merchants sell their wares in stalls. Fairgoers can browse products ranging from handmade soaps, candles, pottery and jewellery.
Street performers abound, including jugglers, acrobats, magicians, jesters and wandering minstrels who provide live music. Numerous concerts and shows take place throughout the festival, with musicians playing period instruments and actors performing scenes from medieval plays.
Food stalls sell traditional Ibizan dishes and medieval-inspired cuisine, while vendors offer mead, cider and other period beverages.
Ibiza Gay Pride: June 7-15, 2024
Ibiza Gay Pride is a week of flamboyant parades, open-air concerts and cultural events. The week-long festival sends a powerful message that everyone deserves to love and be loved. From June 7 to 15, the island is decked out in rainbow colours to celebrate love and inclusion.
The highlight of the festival is the colourful parade that marches through Ibiza Town on June 15. Thousands of participants – including members of the LGBTQ+ community, allies and families – dress in outrageous costumes and dance to music along the parade route. Floats decorated in rainbow motifs also feature in the parade.
The week leading up to the parade features a packed schedule of concerts, shows, and parties. Popular nightclubs host drag queen performances, while open-air venues stage concerts by LGBTQ+ and ally musicians. You can also check out art exhibitions with queer themes held at galleries across the island.
